Jazzy Friday @ Alexis, MidValley Megamall

Finally, its Friday !!!! So, the only thing I want to do now is to sit back, relax and enjoy the day with some great food and great company. The first thought of the idea to have a relaxing friday was Alexis..

The exterior of the Alexis bistro and wine bar was sleek and contemporary and its gives such an elegant feel when you walk into the bistro itself. When entering the bistro, I noticed the decorations are so minimal and simple but its pleasing to the eye. The tables and chairs are quite cute, modern and nicely paired. There's even a private room for parties or private functions to be held.. Love the music.. Its such a great accompaniment and unique compared to other restaurants that plays all the latest music.

The place mats on the table were cute and also reflects the whole decor with its minimal colour of grey that goes well with the whole atmosphere and also the idea of this bistro. The menu also was quite simple not much of options on certain items such as its drinks, desserts and also its other mains.. There's also another book that is black and it contains a list of alcoholic beverages and the types of red and white wine its available and also not too forget its several mocktail  choices.

For lunch, I had was the linguine vongole with the champagne sauce.. It was such a big portion of clams and just sufficient amount of pasta but the sauce is just nice and not too strong.. I could say that this dish is almost equivalent to its price that they are charging because there is lots of flavour and also plenty of clams that it took me sometime to take out the clams shell and luckily the waiter provide me a plate for the shells. I also ordered a raspberry soda drink that is fairly nice for me nothing special. Whereas, N took up the set lunch that includes 3 course meal of soup of the day, an asian inspired dish and also the dessert of the day. The soup of the day was the tomato soup accompanied by a slice of garlic toast. The soup tasted nice and has a strong tomato flavour that was seasoned well and also contains some essence of olive oil and herbs that goes well with its slice of toast. Next, would be the main that is oyako donburi cooked with eggs & chicken over rice . It was quite nice. Lastly, was the dessert of the day and its a light and airy cake contains some essence of citrus and it was served with a little scoop of whipped cream.

Verdict:
Ambience: 5/5
Price:4/5
Service: 4/5
Food:4/5

Comment: enjoyed being there.. Would love to have more options in its mains, desserts and also drinks.

They have live shows every month from performs around the world. Besides that, they also have plenty of outlets around KL such as Midvalley, Ampang, Bangsar shopping center and many other outlets..
