Hakata Ippudo, Gardens

Hey!

Its been a long time from my last post.. Sorry for the absence

So I'm back!

Made a return visit to the Ippudo at the Garden's mall.. This time noticed the set lunch has changed their side dishes & dessert options and as well added another set lunch option which is rice!

So after much deliberation, N chose the rice combo option and I had their Ramen option.. Under the Ramen option I had the Shiromaru Motoaji , for side dish I had bara bara rice with green tea.. Each combo is at RM29.90++

Bara Bara rice
Bara bara rice is a Japanese chashu rice that is a short grain rice which is quite filling and it is accompanied by the diced Japanese cucumber which is really delicious, diced pork loin that is moist and tender, dried seaweed, egg and fish roe that gives it an added crunch texture.. It is really a small & pretty side dish yet delicious.. Can never get enough of it..

The next side dish came from the Rice combo chosen by N which is the Bakuretsu tofu.. When it arrives to the table it does resembles the similarities of the some of the korean food.. This has some spicy tofu and minced pork with noodles served in a hot pot.. It does really looks good in this kind of stone element bowls..

The broth of this side dish is really spicy and it does brings you back of eating those kimchi.. In there, it has some tofu which gives it a really nice smoothness to the bite and some noodles along with the minced pork.. Not really that filling but fun to eat..

After those delicious and beautiful looking side dishes, here comes the mains!

This is my main which is the Shiromaru Motoaji.. This ramen is made with the Ippudo's tonkotsu broth which is served with a thin noodle, 2 slices of pork loin which is really flavourful and tender that it requires less efforts to chew as it melts in your mouth and it was filled with black fungus, beans sprouts and spring onions.. The broth is really nice but not as depth in flavour in comparison to the ones I had tried last time..

Next main is the Unagi Rice with wasabi.. It was served in a very interesting slanted bowl that contains the grilled eel which was glazed that gives it a nice brown coat on the fish and have that saltiness to it.. It goes well with the rice and wasabi as the saltiness from the unagi compliments with the spicy note of wasabi

Finally, dessert have arrived! This time tried their Raspberry sorbet
Loving the sourish flavour from the raspberry.. It is really a refreshing dessert to end the lunch meal..

Verdict:
Delicious ramen and rice combo
