Ohla Tapas Lunch menu @ The Intermark, Kuala Lumpur

Ohla! Como estas? (How are you ? in spanish)

It has been quite some time that I have a nice and relaxing lunch especially a lunch that comprises 2 or 3 courses which is what brought me to Ohla Tapas & cocktails to try their weekly set lunch.. You can have the luxury of choosing whether to have a 2 course lunch or 3 course lunch.. If you are those type like myself which cant decide which to start, you can opt for a 3 course lunch as it's just an additional RM7++ and you can enjoy a delicious and satisfying lunch from starters, main & dessert.. How good is that deal!

First we started off with this delightful drink that is like calamansi and plum taste..  We both had the same type of menu.. Wasn't familiar yet with the food from this place yet..

Spanish Octopus Salad

So first, we had appetizer of a spanish octopus salad which is quite a mouthful to say in spanish ( spanish name: ensalada de pulpo con patada alinada y vinsgreta de meil con limon) which actually is a spanish octopus salad with potato tossed in honey and lemon vinaigrette.. The portion of it was just sufficient for 1 person and it was served in a nice bowl that is pretty.. Not many people will like the look of it as there are tentacles

Surprisingly though the octopus meat was just delicious and tender despite it being cooked and tossed with vinaigrette.. Not chewy at all and enjoyable to eat.. The tentacles are not scary but its great and goes well with the honey and lemon dressing.. There are some bitter taste from the greens in this appetizer but lucky there are some sweet bites from the white grapes which delightfully sweet, acidic and refreshing to eat..

Here comes the main course! This main is an interesting one.. The name of this dish is called as Young Spanish lamb served with samfaina , a thick caramelised vegetable sauce..

In spanish is rather a mouthful to say and complicated but in terms of the look of the dish infront of us is rather simple and hearty..

Well the portion is rather small if you're extremely hungry but its just nice for 1 person if you're here to taste their food.. The moment we cut the meat it has steam coming out of it.. The meat was cooked medium and still has that tenderness to it.. Truly enjoyable to eat..

Finally, after much eating comes the moment we are waiting for which is the dessert.. Well this dessert is rather unique for me

The dessert we are having is called as valrhona choocolate biscuit with orange segments and fruit marmalade.. Well it was rather a mouthful to say in spanish but its just nice enough for 1 person to eat..
The chocolate biscuit was made with the best quality of dark chocolate and it brings bitterness rather than sweetness in the biscuit but it was well complimented with the  orange segments that brings citrus notes and slight bitter note.. The fruit marmalade was just nice and reminisce of the dried fruits cooked with madeira or sherry taste profile that brings some jamminess and sweet notes to it that surprisingly compliments to the bitterness of the biscuit

Verdict: Great and satisfyingly good lunch..
